A little feedback from the pro's 1st attempt at a remix, am i going in the right direction

Hi Guys,

Not sure if I'm in the right place but was just after a little feedback on this remix - Question is am I going in the right direction with regards to levels, mixing / mastering!!

All comments welcome, positive or negative.

Sound good to me , only in 2:40 where the pads go to together with the Vocals there is a "Masking effect" (that means that two elements are in same frequency) you can fix that with EQ

It's probably fixable with a couple of db of volume on the vocals. They're mixed a little too low imo.

I also thought so but in the other parts the vocals sound fine and that "masking effect" gives that illusion that there is a db volume problem

Tweaked it a little, main lead & harmony increased a little.

Hi,

honestly I liked the quality of the sounds and the mastering - apparently you've got some skills. That's the good stuff. As a whole I didn't like the song - it sounds monotenous and dull. My opinion you need to put more variation in there - use your imagination, make another break, swirling pads, gated chords, etc.

Just my 2 cents.
