Acoustic Drums on House Music.

So the Privia PX-310 I have at home has some good acoustic drum loops, and I'm thinking about experimenting with them and a little bit of Stutter. What do you think?

If it sounds good, it works. Locking your parts to the drummer's groove may prove a challenge, only downside I can think of offhand...

I'm not sure im getting the point you are trying to make :(. You mean that it would be hard to have a beat played by a drummer quantized to follow the exact beats a Metronome does?

If you mean that, it's not an issue, because the samples are perfectly matched :P.

I say go for it. You can definitely make some cool stuff. Just be sure to have fun doing it!

Most DAW's can extract a groove from audio anyway can't they?

Yep, the loops are decently recorded so they can be easily sliced. I'm really happy with FL on the Quantization aspect.

Plus, the Privia includes "Synchro/Fill-In" and "Intro/Ending" sequences for each Loop, so they can be used for creative transitions if they are combined with Stutters, Distortion, Cuts and not-acoustic samples, which is what I'm going to experiment with :walkman:.

As I mentioned in other post, I also have a TR-505 over here, so let the fun begin :P.

If you want, I can upload some of the acoustic loops, or even the 505 ones (even though they can be obtained easily).
