I'll accept the indie/glitch positive comment. I don't see your beef with this progressive chart though <_<

Oh actually I've met David Guetta at his movie premier in Hollywood! He's basically the Armin van Buuren of house music with such a great personality and attitude. Guetta is such an awesome guy and I sincerely enjoyed the documentary about his career :)

What the hell are you people on about? The whole list is of Anjunaeep artist and their best work.
I read this conversation before i checked the link. I expeced something like Around The World and some Hardwell tracks being on there (Don't get me wrong, i like them :clapping: )
But instead it's full of great tracks from Deep.
You guys are complaining: "stop mixing club house with progressive house!!!!!!" yet i see that there is only 1 track you guys could complain about, that being JOSH GABRIEL PRES. WINTER KILLS - HOT AS HADES (FRANCIS PREVE REMIX). And i don't really understand why ake such a fuss over 1 track? And that track is just 1 in 15. And even that track is right on the line on what type of "genre" it is. There is absolutely nothing commercial about that list.
Get over yourselves

Great list! Keep up the good work. :)

Actually most people said that this one was better than the last couple charts. Most of the comments just referred to his previous charts that were overwhelming filled with commercial house and trouse. Overall a decent list compared to the other ones.

Well it's not a bad list. I guess some people critisize the selections because you usually pick more well-known artists and labels instead of 'underground stuff'. I don't mind though, I kinda like your site and especially the interviews are interesting to read. Keep it up man

What exactly do you consider "deep" progressive house? Some of these tracks aren't even progressive house. It seems this list was compiled of your favorite Anjunadeep tracks with added vocal cheesers. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the "candy" style of prog house, because I enjoy it as well, but there's a lot of styles of progressive house out there. I wonder if most people even know there's other progressive house that's not found on Beatport's top 100. There was a lot of quality prog tracks that destroyed a lot of dance floors not represented in this list. At least you didn't include SHM, Avicii, Arty, etc. And speaking of Ishkur's Guide To Electronic Music.. he needs to come back and update it to fit with today's sound. That guide was pretty awesome.

What suprises me is that how can someone blame that list for being too clubby?

I don't think it's clubby at all, but I don't think it's a good representation of 2011's top progressive house.

I've actually gotten sick of Ishkur having donated years and years ago and not seeing anything come out of it.

I think I might just go ahead and make Meshblorg's Guide To Electronic Music :w00t:

I've sort of already been explaining musical genres like this one I did on progressive house:

Umm... really? If you actually read the article you'll see I explain the difference between the big room style like Lise by Arno Cost and the deeper stuff... I really underlined that distinction.

Big room should not be lumped in the same category as most of the progressive house stuff on your list (anjunadeep stuff). Just because beatport lists them both as progressive house doesnt mean they actually are.

And I did read the article. Just more of the same. Just your site trying to define a genre when at the same time you keep on preaching how there arent any genres these days

Well that's because styles of EDM have a lot of crossover and often a track can fall between different ones! Electronic music is like that where they split into tons of sub-styles :msn-wink: And it's not just beatport... :music: the whole industry is using these terms and we can't just ignore that  Besides not everyone knows these things and so I broke it down in easy to understand terms.
