Like the title of this thread says.. does anyone know of libraries with great claps or percussion? I'm looking for good claps in particular. Any good suggestions?

Hey man, please use the search function next time you have a question because I know for a fact that there have been quite a few threads about this same thing you're asking...but for the sake of just getting this over with I'll give you those:

Deadmau5 Xfer CD
Vengeance Essential Clubsounds, Vengeance Electro Essentials, Vengeance Essential House, etc...
Thomas Penton

just do beatbox on the mic and add it as the drums to your track, no one will notice.

A good Question especially for Claps !!Because sometimes i listen to any Trance Tunes and they have claps that i can't find on the whole Vengeance Clubsounds!! and a good Clear true Percussion loop libary would be great without tooo much hihats in it!!

+1

Or record your own. Try different things too, like shaking keys, banging a table, slamming things together, etc.

Or do as the Mau5 did in his early days, hit your ass with your palms and record it... assclaps! :D.

I swear I can still hear them in the "Single Hand" section (I think it was) of the Xfer Pack.

I have never used the vengeance packs so cant comment on them, But the Sample Magic and Wave Alchemy packs are stunning. Very clean, well recorded/produced samples. More suited to Anjunadeep style tunes, but I am sure they wouldn't sound out of place in a banging trance track.

Also grab Matt Lange's IsoRhythm sample pack. Awesome pack, very useful and unique sounding.

And as has already been mentioned, press record and and start hitting everything that makes a noise. Your sure to come up with something that sounds cool and unique. I do it all the time with just the built in mic on my MBP.
