yea see that wouldn't work cause then i can't change the key without changing the speed of the sample.

So how does having the key's already labelled solve that problem ?

Besides you most definitely can change the pitch without changing the speed of the sample.

Drop the sample into Ableton, turn on warp, make sure it's in complex/complex pro mode and transpose till your heart's content.

No you cannot do that it doesn't work like that, the speed changes :) if its labeld you well have every sample in all the different keys.

Ummm..... the speed doesn't change mate. That's one of the fundamental concept's behind Ableton. Everything stays in time and stuff... If the speed changed you would have a mega train wreck :msn-wink:

And if they are labelled you will get the original sample in what ever key it was created with a label saying so and that is it. That is unless it has been mapped for a sampler. Ie Exs24 or kontakt. The fact these are predominantly atmospheric textures and melodics, I would assume with a high degree of confidence, that this is not the case, and you will receive the samples in a single key only.

Now having said that, If for some reason Jimbo was feeling extra kind, and did indeed include each sample in every possible key, it would seem extremely strange to not label them accordingly...

Just buy them and find out, US$4.99 is church change.... Plus you get to support an amazing artist and get a little insight into the way they work (Ableton Live Session file for the demo included)

Good suggestion :)

Awesome tool and extremely powerful.

But pretty expensive, for such a simple task, if you already own Ableton, or Logic or basically any other DAW

just use your ears , its what musicians usually do , you should give it a try sometimes instead having to get a plug in to get the pitch for you or depend on labeling of material ;)

Does anyone know Jaytech and could contact him for me? I bought this pack, I wanted to support him. But since I am a patches guy I cannot really do so much with pre made wavs, I would raher have the patches, so I contacted him on facebook, asking if 3 sounds that interested me were available to purchase, but I got no response. Considering I bought it, I was hoping for a reply, even if he says they are not for sale but a reply at least...
