All you 2.0 haters have these dumb '' justifiable (or so you think ) '' reasons for when-ever you diss anjunabeats material you dont like , ..now tell me ''dspencer124"" what do you think deserves Musical Recognition ? haha

when have i said anything in this thread regarding 2.0 or anything along that line?! also how many anjuna releases do i 'diss', as you so eloquently put it?

as for what deserves musical recognition i grant you is a highly subjective area, but then if you're stupid enough to take my opinion on these 4 tracks as a complete slandering of the entire electro/club house scene then you should probably go back to pre-school and learn some basic reading comprehension.

though as we're on the subject in terms of electro house, what to i consider 'musically recognisable' in this genre?! well this one tickles me up the right way...as opposed to the 4 above which all, in my opinion, sound pratically identical and sound rather thin as well, i noted a distinct lack of percussion which is normally one of mat's strong points.

and musically recognisable in general? well it used to be that i could tell an anjuna release apart from other labels thanks to the quality of the tunes, i think this tune sums up everything that was and is good about this label...

melodic, hypnotic, beautiful sounding and goes off in a club as well...i would say this is musically recognisable, though no doubt you'll criticise me for 'harking back to the old days' of anjuna and ignoring the present. well i think that the original mix of the new S8&T track is excellent, and the dan stone mix of scarlet heaven was one of my favourite tracks from last month...maybe time to come off the high horse eh?!

:horse:

Dude.

He never even mentioned '2.0'. And I normally see pretty positive things from Spencer regarding a Anjuna. His argument seems pretty solid to me (and I like the flipping tracks on this EP!)

Chill bro.

I don't hate 2.0 and these just sound bloody terrible to me!

Also, dspencers music taste is sublime!

Tbh, I'd feel embarrassed if anyone caught me listening to any of these 4 tracks... thank god no one will ever have the chance again

And for the Gravity-like-songs defenders, big fat +1. It is nice to experiment, but bringing back the beauty to the music would not hurt.

Don't you like "Yoyo Ma" even a little bit?...i think is the only track on the EP that holds a little bit of Mat's pre-trouse sound...it sounds Daft Punky at times..i really like it.

Bit really had a chance to listen to that one yet, but Ill listen with open ears! Frequency flyer has that daft punky sound to it and it's horrid.

Mat Zo (via Twitter) - Here's a little mix I've done. If anyone can ID the full tracklisting, I'll email them an early copy of The Bipolar EP http://tinyurl.com/89qvmpj

Looks like Bipolar has been leaked unless theres been an early release that ive missed. Clocked in on one or two mixes on soundcloud by people who "claim" to have bought all tracks from beatport LOL

Love when you catch people out (...again unless i've not noticed this release!)

Didn't really like Ring On It at first. Yoyo Ma had to grow on me, but apparently so did Ring On It. Still not loving them as much as Bipolar or It's Yours, but pretty solid release from Mat yet again.

Can't wait until this EP is released.. only 5 more days! :clapping:
It's Yours is definitely one of my favorites and is AMAZING! :walkman:

I've had a chance to listen to all the previews and it's safe to say that Mat Zo is a genius!

He's taken various genres and put it into one track, and still keeping his sound! instant respect has to go to him there, i don't see any other producer experimenting with sounds and really pushing the boundaries in terms of trance and the direction it is going.

favourite one has to be Bipolar

It's Yours
Ring On It
Yoyo Ma

Amazing EP and certainly one of the best in a long while from Anjunabeats! Roll on the weekend! :D
