Hi all,

I want to create a flute sound like the one in Primer - Everlast right from the beginning...

Can someone recommend a VST or sample libary for that?

That flute sounds pretty bad in all honesty. Way too breathy. I'm personally not a fan of the bundled instruments that come with Komplete for Orchestral instruments.

The East West Orchestral libraries are pretty decent for the price. There's a billion libraries out nowadays.

It's not even a flute (unless it's been radically altered)

It just sounds like a pitched wind style noise run through a reverb

If you're working in FL Studio I'd recommend the World Samples "CD" from ImageLine. It's only 30 bucks and does contain some really nice flute sounds - as well as tons of other nice sounds. You have to download it through DirectWave though, so I'm pretty sure you'll need to own FL Studio. However, I do agree with Bluffmunkey - you could probably synthesize that particular sound quite easily :).
