Pretty much everything I've had on order arrived today. Except this.

Must not listen to samples, must not listen to samples, must not.

Ah crap. I pre ordered the Love Is Not Enough single along with Deep 04. I'm guessing they want to ship them out together. Might be time to hit up Junodownload Posted Image

it depends on what type of shipping that you selected

Listening to Andrew Bayer - Gaffs Eugoly as I speak. Was gonna state that 10-14 were sublime, but looked back and thought 9-14 were, and after another look 8-14 were.. You get the point. Disc 1 is amazing!! Disc 2 coming up! Almost feel like taking out Disc 1 now because I'm anxious in hearing Disc 2.. But that would be a sin..

Beautiful compilation of tracks! For me it's all about disk two and the two stand out tracks for me are;

1) Suspect 44 - Neon Feel

2) Soundprank - Boundless Energy

the break in boundless energy is

Anyone else feels the 'slowdown' kinda after Neon Feel? Just when Synergy starts to come up... I swear is this just me or is this a mix failure?

This annoys me a lot.

I won't forgive this either, they just changed on purpose Neon Feel's key right when the transition with Synergy begins in order to match Synergy's key better. This can't be allowed in a compilation that takes a whole year to build, because it sounds awful, although a lot of people will not notice, ever, but some will, and it takes a lot to believe that people with such an awesome music sensibility and talent like Jimbo or James are satisfied listening to this as their own product. This technique they used here is so lazy and patchy, a sign of rush for not having the proper songs to build a good seamless mix.

And this is just one of all the little annoying things that the Anjunadeep04 compilation holds. You's break's sound saturates, Stick By This is unnecessarily high-pitched and solo-less, and there's a skip near the break in Sorry Alquimia (maybe this last one is just in my iTunes version?)

Overall the compilation and the music selection is out of this world, but those little things kept me away from enjoying the musical trip at its best the first time I listened to it. I think those are mistakes or techniques that can be allowed in an amateur monthly radioshow, but not in a professional yearly compilation :(

Said this, I am enjoying the compilation everyday since I got it, but I'm sad it could have been technically better.

Neon Feel goosebumps Posted Image

Deep 02 introduced me to this genre as a whole, it's always going to be my favourite hands down.

But this compilation is just magical Posted Image

Forma Perpetua, Woosh, Pink Houses (CR Remix) & Neon Feel for me! :) Expected more from Hahmo, but he failed to impress...

Absolutely solid, all-round compilation. My favourite track has to be Joonas Hahmo - Manor, it's a monster!

Already found myself skipping tracks. :/

Under the wire
Boundless energy
Lemon effect
Prelude
Gravity
Primordial
Beautiful life

They are my Favourites

No new for that horrendous mashup to be on this compilation, don't think it fits at all

Primordial says it all: Solarity 1.0 is back! (not that marsch was bad in any way! But the vibes in DNA, Terminal 6 and now Primordial are nostalgically good!)

hahaha same! The first cd will always be tainted with the absence of Dusky's cello, but may god be my witness, I will at least correct it digitally!

I've already done it

I asked Dusky why the cello part was cut from "Stick By This":

Dusky: "he was going for something deep/mood setting for his first track and - while we know he loves the cello moment - it felt it was a bit too dramatic that early on in the mix"

Nice move!! Well, that was the only possible explanation. Even so, I don't understand James being so picky here and at the same time playing Phobos and Fragments (2 tracks that are very nice but break what the set has been building) on the final part, for example.

Has Bayer written Gaff's Eulogy for his deceased brother? It sounds beautiful and from the hearth. This tosses my Inside around in a way only unique conpositions can.
