It's a very nice sounding synth from what I've heard. Some people actually prefer the sound of the Nord 2 to the Nord 3.

My only gripe with it is that the GUI is black, not the sexy red that Clavia use for their products.
Must admit, I have a lot of time for Clavia, the Nord Stage is one of the nicest piano keyboards I've ever used. The feel is great and the construction is top notch.
When it comes to synths though, I'd say DiscoDSP have done an exemplary job.

its attack is awesome and sound very rich even when it comes to very simple sounds like a single wave pluck etc.
The only thing is that I spend way too much trying to get the sound I want out of it so sometimes I just don't bother and go with something else (especially with short deadlines) Anyway plenty of sounds in my tracks were done with it, Caffeine Bass for example, always in caffeine, that guitar kind of sound in the buildup, I'm using it quite a lot in the new remix I'm doing for anjunabeats and I used it for past works as well.
Best thing you could do is try it, its sound is very particular and you might find yourself disappointed especially if you are looking for "supersawy" or "epictrancey" sounds, I would recommend it as a second synth, just as a cool extra gear rather than primary synth but that's just my personal opinion

Are beans good for making you fart?
Hey, I have a Nord Wave and it is fantastic. But I also used to have an Access Virus C which I loved but sold when I moved. I think you cant go wrong with a Nord or a Virus - and the TI Snow has the benefit of acting like a VST. I intend to buy one of those soon, so let me know how you like it
Omnisphere is awesome too.
My advice would be learn the Virus and Omnisphere inside out. and use as few other VSTs as possible. Narrowing down the number of possibilities will make you a better sound designer and the production process easier (i wish I had done that!! haha).
Good luck
