Probably going to get some stick for making this thread, but i am not bothered.

Is anyone else looking forward to Wrestlemania this year?

Looks like it is going to be a great show, some great feuds have been building up over the last few weeks and i can see it leading to some great matches.

wrestling was amazing around the whole attitude era with Stone Cold VS The Corporation and Ministry. Stopped watching around the time The Rock left, but liked the WCW Invasion. Scott Steiner / Goldberg in WWF was awesome.

Edge has their belt. There's a draft in the weeks after Wrestlemania, so the writers have apparently thrown everything to pot and said what the hell...

And I hate it because Show will NOT win that match. He's not as big a draw as Cena or Edge. His addition is pointless; he needed something to do.

It's the 25th Aniversary of WM; not the 24th, but there you go.

The only match that I'm interested in this year is the Undertaker vs HBK match. It's obvious who's going to win, but that won't stop it being a hell of a match. The two best workers in business at the moment, and two of the best of all time (behind flair, hart and steamboat)... it's blatantly going to steal the show.

The rest of the card looks incredibly poor to me. Orton vs HHH we've seen countless times before, and three way title matches are invariably poor (the exception being rey vs orton vs angle a couple of years ago). Factor in the Big Show (who is in no way at wm main event level) and I have no interest in that match. I'd rather have seen HHH vs Edge, as that's not a match we've seen on ppv for a long time.

They've totally screwed the MitB match.... Mark Henry & Kane? Way to go WWE. JBL vs Koslov for the IC title... big fucking deal. And now that Christian (who is 'just another guy' buried in the mid card in only a month after his return from TNA) is in the MitB match, we don't even get a repeat Christian vs Swagger match that was so great on ECW a couple of weeks ago. Don't get me started on Hardy vs Hardy, the utter bullshit that it is.

The only thing that can save this show is Jerricho. If Austin does return, then it won't matter what the rest of the card is... it'll be awesome. But that isn't going to happen, as Austin's knees are royally fucked, and he hadn't even started training two weeks ago (as mentioned in his last interview). If they're going to stoop to Lawler to 'rescue' the legends (as has been built recently), then it'll be shit.

Probably still going to buy it in a month, but it's not going to be as good a show as last year, and not a patch on other wm's from the past. They're going to get 600,000 buys if they're lucky.

I'm quits stunned that anyone on here likes wrestling!

It looks a very poor card, who really wants to see HHH and Orton or Edge and Cena ot hardy vs hardy again??!!

Michaels vs Undertaker and Money In The Bank are the ones I'm looking forward to,

I'm quite disappointed in the Money in the bank match, which is usually my favorite match, but I can't understand why they put Mark Henry and Kane in there, Henry doesn't even belong at WM at all. But I'm still hoping for some nice spots by Shelton Benjamin and Christian. And hoping for a win for MVP or Christian.
I'm looking forward to the HHH - Orton match, Orton is one of my favorites in the business in the moment and although we have seen this match before both are great wrestlers and their storyline buildup has been awesome so I'm looking forward to this.
Edge - Cena - Big Show: what the hell is Big Show doing in this match, ok it's already better then Kozlov but I can't understand that he is in a main event WM match.
Hardy vs Hardy should be nice, I was quite surprised when Matt hit his brother with the chair to make him lose the title, so it's a nice storyline.
Undertaker vs HBK should be a really good match, although both are way over their top they still put on great matches when they want to and they should for WM.
Jericho vs some old guys: could be really good if they make it some really good old guys that can still wrestle (Austin and Flair) but I fear they may use to many guys who can hardly stand up anymore (would be nice however is Hogan had something to do in the match).
Diva's match will be nice to look at, but unfortunately none of the wrestling will be any good. I hope the beautiful Torrie will participate.
It seems like they won't even do a ECW match anymore, after the 30 sec fars of last year it now looks like ECW title doesn't mean anything anymore.

Yeah, i do agree with you.

I still don't like the fact they have split the shows up...too many wrestlers or not!

Hmmmm...seems like there are a few knowledgeable folks on here. I can't say that I've been following the scene too much these past few years. I stopped when WWE took control of WCW as then there were too many new faces and everything and obviously the Rock was becoming way too popular and predictable in his comments etc. The Nation of Domination was my thing back in the day but generally reading up about the industry in books and everything make it very interesting. Sex, Lie and Headlocks I think it was called was a good read, as was The Rocks autobiography....you can also find extened video interviews of quite a few people past and present which are quite interesting. Was recently interested in following the whole case surrounding the Ultimate Warrior...amazing to see who he is nowadays and how critical he is about the industry on the whole. I remember first watching WMIII and didn't miss one until WM15 I think. Anyway, I can go on and on and on....wish I'd still kept up but I guess trance is my thing nowadays tongue.gif

Replaying every wrestlemania from 1-24. Currently on wmX, when bret hart won the belt.

Wrestlemania 13 - Brett Hart vs. Stone Cold = match of the century.

Wrestling has gone to s**t now, was good back in the day when you just had your basic Raw is War, SmackDown! and Sunday Night Heat. Then they took over WCW and ECW and brought in all these no marks and split it into factions etc - total mess. The storylines years ago were great too - outrageous (anyone remember May Young giving birth to a hand?) - but nonetheless fun to watch.

MITB does seem odd with Kane and Henry in it as its the cruiserweights showcase really.

HHH and Orton will involve Vince Stephanie and Shane no doubt

ECW means nothing at all, the belts just there as that division/brand needs one, not that theres anything illustrious about it really, since they hardly fight hardcore rules standard!
